Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Hopkins 7 and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket with Mounting Bracket, part number HM40975. This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. Not only is this going to provide us with all the necessary functions for lighting our trailer, like both turns signals, your running lights, your brake lights, your ground and your power, it's also going to give you the option for reverse lights and for trailer brakes if you have them.One thing I like about this is the spring loaded caps, and on the inside of each cap, it's going to have a rubber seal. That's going to seal around the edge of your connections. It's going to help keep moisture out. Another great thing that I like about this plug is that if you look on the front of the cap, it's going to tell you what each signal is, and where it's running to inside the plug. more

Trailer Connector Socket Installation - 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on this 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe we are going to be installing part number HM40975 wiring kit from Hopkins towing solutions. The hardware that came with the kit is larger than normal, so we actually are going to be holding our bracket up in position so we can pre-mark our holes with a smaller drill bit so we can run our self tapping screws into our bumper. Then we will drill out our holes. :27 more
